Kristin Wenzel’s two-day seminar – “Memory of Architecture,”
Apollon Kutateladze Tbilisi State Academy of Art
On June 22-23, a research seminar titled “Memory, Transformation, and Identity of Architecture” was held, organized by the Tbilisi Cityscape Research Center “Ubani” in partnership with the Academy of Arts.
The artist Kristin Wenzel, co-founder of Templat, led the workshop. The students met, and a practical seminar was held. The works created by the students will be exhibited at the Cinema House on June 27.

The “Patient N1” exhibition of the Faculty of Design—fashion design direction—was opened at the Apollon Kutateladze Tbilisi State Art Academy.
The educational-creative project deals with ecological problems and challenges. The exhibition includes eleven costumes and two panels. Participating students used, among other techniques, upcycling used clothing.

April 29 – May 3, 2024
At the Bratislava Academy of Fine Arts and Design (AFAD), Tamaz Varvaridze, head of the graphics department of the Tbilisi Apollon Kutateladze State Academy of Arts—Faculty of Fine Arts, and the students of the same department were on mobility.
As part of the mobility, lectures and a workshop were held with the head of the painting department of the Bratislava Academy, Professor Rasto Sedlacik, in which Slovak and Georgian students were involved. The lecture was devoted to modern Georgian painting, and the seminar was dedicated to typography. The Academy of Arts graphic arts department students participated in the one-week exchange program: Baka Alavidze, Yulia Sharashenidze, Margarita Okujava, and Nino Fitskhelauri.

The Head of the International Relations Service of the Apollon Kutateladze State Art Academy of Tbilisi and Erasmus institutional coordinator, Maya Kipiani, as part of the Erasmus program, was invited by the new Erasmus partner of the Art Academy, Paul Valéry University Montpellier 3 in France, to the week of international services.
In parallel with the training, new perspectives of cooperation in cinematography were discussed: ICM, BIP, and other large-scale collaborative projects, student mobility, and challenges related to the reception of foreign students. There were also familiarization visits to cinema and theater departments and campuses, meetings with academic staff, and others
