The Tbilisi Apollon Kutateladze State Art Academy (TSSA), in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, TSSA statutes, and the TSSA Rules for Conducting a Competition for Filling a Vacant Academic Position, announces an open competition for the vacant position of Associate Professor of Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts.
A competition is announced for 3rd-year students (in architecture, urbanism, landscape, and fine arts) of Tbilisi Apollon Kutateladze State Art Academy and for beginners/young architects.

A one-semester Erasmus student mobility competition is announced for TSSA Faculty of Fine Arts – Painting students. The competition is for 1 place for the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year at the Academy of Arts in Szczecin, Poland.

Applicant students must submit the following documents to the head of the painting department and the commission (in English):
• Portfolio
• CV
• Mark sheet (in Georgian)
• Letter of motivation
• English language certificate B2 or proof of English knowledge at B2 level, issued by a TSSA foreign language teacher
• Application for participation in the competition (submit a photo of the application after registration at the TSSA Chancellery)

• According to Erasmus+ program regulations, only students with active status may participate in Erasmus mobility. The student must pay the tuition fee before the start of the mobility semester.

• The final selection will be made by the Erasmus partner university, based on nominations from the faculty committee.

The Writers’ House of Georgia invites young illustrators to participate in a competition focused on the following literary areas:
• Classical and modern prose and poetry
• Georgian folklore
• Children’s literature
• Graphic novels
Both novice artists and experienced illustrators are welcome to join the competition.
A selection competition for student mobility in the field of cinematography is announced within the framework of a bilateral agreement with the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Cinema and TV School (FAMU), Czech Republic. Students will not pay tuition fees, but all other costs are covered by the student.

Nanuka Gogolashvili, a painting student from the Faculty of Fine Arts, has been nominated for Erasmus+ student mobility at the Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3, France. The main requirement for this mobility is a B1-level French language certificate.
In the Center of Lifelong Education of Apollon Kutateladze Tbilisi State Academy of Art, the Levkas technique study course was completed.
On June 17, in the exhibition hall of the Art Academy, a summary exhibition of the course participants’ works was organized, and certificates were presented to the participants. Artist Nodar Badurashvili led the course.
ERASMUS
April 29 – May 3, 2024
At the Bratislava Academy of Fine Arts and Design (AFAD), Tamaz Varvaridze, head of the graphics department of the Tbilisi Apollon Kutateladze State Academy of Arts—Faculty of Fine Arts, and the students of the same department were on mobility.
As part of the mobility, lectures and a workshop were held with the head of the painting department of the Bratislava Academy, Professor Rasto Sedlacik, in which Slovak and Georgian students were involved. The lecture was devoted to modern Georgian painting, and the seminar was dedicated to typography. The Academy of Arts graphic arts department students participated in the one-week exchange program: Baka Alavidze, Yulia Sharashenidze, Margarita Okujava, and Nino Fitskhelauri.
The Georgian festival was opened in the Leuville historical estate. On the first day of the festival, in the park of the Leuville estate, a presentation of the works of the art academy’s sculpture department students was organized.
