The Chair of Jewellery and Metal Decorative Plastics was established in 1969.

Since 2003, the specialisations of cloisonne enamel and decorative metalwork have been set up, along with a number of workshops and laboratories including an experimental cloisonne enamel and jewelry laboratories and metalworking, chasing, blacksmithery, mechanical and instrumentation workshops.
