TSSA Visit to Austria to Explore the ‘Exhibition Design’ Program

As part of the collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences in Graz, Austria – FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences – the development of a new “Exhibition Design” program has begun. In the initial phase, the program will be introduced at the TSSA Center for Continuing Education, followed by its implementation at the Faculty of Fine Arts.

 In September, the first meeting between TSSA professors Christine Darchia (art historian, curator) and Dato Silagadze (painting director) took place in Graz. The second meeting, involving two additional TSSA professors, is scheduled for January 2025. TSSA representatives explored the ‘Exhibition Design’ program, reviewed its subjects and credits, and attended the diploma work defenses.

Students selection call is announced for an Erasmus mobility at the University of FH Salzburg, Salzburg, Austria, in the summer semester, 2025. The call is dedicated to the students of the Faculty of Design, Industrial Design, and Furniture Design and Artistic Wood Processing Department.”

Preparatory Course for Entrants: “Fine and Applied Arts”

A change has been made to the rules of the national exams regarding the list of school subjects that entrants can take to enroll in the educational program or to obtain a state training grant. The subject “Fine and Applied Arts” has been added.
The course is intended for applicants who are seeking higher education and plan to take the subject “Fine and Applied Arts.”
Course Volume: 190 academic hours
Classes will be held: Twice a week, 3 hours per session.
The course will be held at the Tbilisi State Art Academy at the following address:
Griboyedov Street N22 (Mtatsminda District).
Course Leader: Veriko Shanidze, PhD student at the Faculty of Theory, TSS Academy of Restoration – Conservation, History of Art.
