A change has been made to the rules of the national exams regarding the list of school subjects that entrants can take to enroll in the educational program or to obtain a state training grant. The subject “Fine and Applied Arts” has been added.

The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia operates a social program to finance students with a state educational grant, which is determined by the Government of Georgia for each academic year, upon submission by the Ministry. Resolution No. 242 of July 31, 2024, defines “the amount and conditions of financing with state educational grants for students studying in accredited higher education programs based on the results of the unified national exams within the framework of the social program in higher educational institutions.”
The aforementioned government resolution envisages the financing of certain categories of students enrolled in accredited higher education programs with a state training grant based on the results of the unified national exams.
Regarding the funding of studies within the framework of the social program, applications will be accepted online from September 6 to September 26, 2024, by registering on the portal http://socreg.mes.gov.ge. Access to the electronic registration portal is available through the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (banner – funding of students with a state study/master’s grant within the framework of the social program).
