About the program
Architecture is the art of designing and building, and the architect is a master-builder, an artist who is also a practitioner, who creates the living environment and designs buildings, and who supervises both the design and the construction processes. To do this, it is necessary to have essential knowledge not only of a main specialist subject – architectural planning, city planning, landscape architecture, architectural history or building construction – but also of supporting subjects – mathematics, physics, mechanics, building and facing materials, geometric modeling, drawing, painting, line drawing and others. Architecture is a kind of creative activity that establishes the environment in an artistic way, resolves its functional zoning issues, and encompasses the fields of engineering, science and the fine arts.
