About the program
In 1961, a Chair of Furniture Design was established. During the 46 years it has been operating, about 260 speci- alists in furniture design graduated from the Chair. In 2007, the Chair of Furniture Design changed its name and became the Direction of Artistic Wood Processing and Furniture Design. This direction aims to produce highly qualified artists-designers working in wood, as well as to analyze the historical stages of the development of the field, and to fully participate in the unified European educational, creative and research space.
