About the program

The Easel Graphics Studio is operating at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts ever since its foundation in 1922. The stu- dent gains knowledge in easel composition, also acquires all types of the technique and technology that are essential for the traditional, as well as, the printmaking techniques as lithography, linocut, wood cut, mixed technique and more.

The students are creating the compositions in digital programs.

Working out an individual vision of a composition, technological comprehension is emphasized within the teaching process. The original vision in the easel compo- sitions that are picked from the life provides the student’s being in a constant searching process, and opens the perspectives for expressing the diverse aspects of the contem- porary life. Acquiring the skills needed for practicing and analyzing is strongly emphasized.
