About the program

The Specialty of Easel Paint- ing is basic for all medias. The program is based on a combination of creative innovations and creative thinking.

While teaching painting, tra- ditionally the emphasis is set on studying the intro- ductory basic postulates on still life and nude models. As far as teaching the principles of painting composition is concerned, studies are conducted in a complex way by considering the student’s personal and individual interests.

The studios of Full Profes- sors Gia Bughadze and David Alexidze operate at the Direction of Painting. Studying at the studios are optional and depends only on a student’s wish. Both the Academy’s staff professors and guest teachers teach at these studios.
